Included a residency week at the Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, working across disciplines with artists from Ireland and internationally.

Researching Irish traditional ballads, developing new compositions connecting historical themes of emigration and weaving to contemporary issues. Attending the Inishowen Singing Festival and meeting with local historians.
The research led to a design idea called The Leavers Machine — a concept for a solo performance combining original and traditional ballads with a bespoke instrument adapted from a jacquard loom using sensor technology.
Elephant Laugh Theatre Company / Duri Theatre Seoul
A month-long artist residency in Seoul, Korea — a collaboration between Catherine Ireton and Jinyeob Lee (Elephant Laugh). Exploring the commonality and difference in the experiences of women across cultures, culminating in a presentation at Duri Theatre, Seoul. Financed by Arts Council England & Arts Council Korea, produced by Farnham Maltings.
