Elephant were a six-piece acoustic pop-jazz band based in Cork, Ireland, formed in October 2002 and active until July 2005. Catherine Ireton was the vocalist, and Michael John McCarthy was the songwriter and guitarist.
The band released the album In the Moon in 2004. Catherine was studying Drama and Theatre Studies at University College Cork at the time.
